Pruning

"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."

- Peter Drucker
Mechanism for sizing
Driver of garden health
Perpetual discovery & readiness

This is a hover-level session that occurs weekly and is facilitated by the hover consumer delegate or hover agile coach. It is attended by the key business contributors, hover architect, crew leads, and any special guests who may need to attend to provide key information in understanding and sizing the work.

While crews execute on current in-flight work, a perpetual discovery and readiness process takes place at the hover level. In order to maintain just-enough, just-in-time blooms and stems for upcoming circuits, the garden must be tended and pruned. This is Hummingbird Agile’s response to the elimination of quarterly big-room planning. Staying ahead just six weeks keeps the organization even more adaptable to market and compliance-driven change.
